Hood river Sunday funday

We started at the waterfront to run with some dogs and so I could make decisions on where to hike. After about an hour of exploring and dog time, we headed up to Dog River trail. This was a trailhead I had seen many times off the side of road between hood river and mt hood but never stopped at and never heard people talk about so decided to check it out. It turned out to be really nice and not a person on it (did find a leg 🤣). We went about 6 miles up to a mt hood view point, ~1000’ elevation. I wore microspikes and was glad I did. It was half snow, half not but slippery in the snow
